Sparrowhawk

I got a call early yesterday morning about a Peregrine chick that was lost in a wood near Attyslanny on the Clare/Galway border.  When I got there, it turned out to be a young Sparrowhawk that had recently fled the nest, but had got very wet and grounded with all the heavy rain that fell in the last two days.  So I took him in to feed him up and he will probably be re-released back into the wild by the end of next week.
