Sanderling

I was at Seafield, Quilty on Thursday 3rd March 2011, where I was counting the waders. There were small numbers of Sanderling, Purple Sandpipers and Turnstone.  Four of the Sanderling were wearing colour leg bands and the photographs below will show you the combinations with details of there ringing also explained.  All these birds have been seen at Seafield since early November 2010 and some are returning birds.
