End of the Day

After watching colour ringed waders at Seafield, Quilty on 3rd March 2011,  I headed up along the west Clare coast to Black Head, taking in Clahane on the way where I relocated the Water Pipit.  Between Black Head and Ballyaughan there were lots of good birds with highlights being; 57 Black-throated Divers, 116 Great Northern Divers, one 2nd year male Surf Scoter and a wide variety of other sea ducks and seabirds.  I ended my day at Bishop's Quarter in Ballyvaugan Bay where on this perfectly calm evening I got the shots below as the light faded.
